Ghazal 268

گلعذاری ز گلستان جهان ما را بس
زین چمن سایهٔ آن سرو روان ما را بس

من و همصحبتی اهل ریا دورم باد
از گرانان جهان، رطل گران ما را بس

قصر فردوس به پاداش عمل می‌بخشند
ما که رندیم و گدا، دیر مغان ما را بس

بنشین بر لب جوی و گذر عمر ببین
کاین اشارت ز جهان گذران، ما را بس

نقد بازار جهان بنگر و آزار جهان
گر شما را نه بس این سود و زیان ما را بس

یار با ماست، چه حاجت که زیادت طلبیم؟
دولت صحبت آن مونس جان ما را بس

از در خویش خدا را به بهشتم مفرست
که سر کوی تو از کون و مکان ما را بس

حافظ از مشرب قسمت گله ناانصافیست
طبع چون آب و غزل‌های روان ما را بس

One rose-cheeked beauty from the rose garden of the world is enough for us;
from this meadow the shade of that walking cypress is enough for us.

I and the company of hypocrites: may that be far from me!
Of all the heavy things of the world, the heavy wine cup is enough for us.

They grant the palace of paradise as the reward for deeds;
for us, who are rends and beggars, the temple of the Magians is enough.

Sit down at the edge of the stream and watch life passing,
for this one sign from the passing world is enough for us.

Look at the coin of the world's market and at the world's torments;
if this profit and loss is not enough for you, it is enough for us.

The friend is with us; what need is there to ask for more?
The fortune of the company of that companion of the soul is enough for us.

For God's sake, do not send me from your own door to paradise,
for out of all that exists, the head of your street is enough for us.

Hafez, it is unjust to complain of the fountain of what is allotted;
a nature like water and ghazals that flow are enough for us.
